A.R.T. Furniture proves their commitment to quality with every piece of furniture they offer. Some of the extra steps taken to ensure beauty and durability are carefully built into the manufacturing process.

Fitted Back Panels Each cabinet is fitted with a wood panel that is secured in place with screws, adding structural strength.

Dovetail Drawer Construction A.R.T. drawers are crafted with English dovetail joints at both the front and back, creating a tight connection and snug fit that will last a lifetime.

Machine Rubbed Tops On selected collections, the tops are machine sanded followed by a machine rubbed water wax application. The resulting depth and luster is typical of high-end furniture.

Exceptional Seating Support All dining chair seats are reinforced by tightly woven suspension straps providing an added level of comfort and sturdiness.

Dust Proofed Drawers Wood panels are framed between the drawers, preventing any dust and debris from falling in and soiling clean clothing and linens.

Finished and Sealed Interiors The interiors of our drawers are sanded to maximum smoothness and sealed with a clear finish to ensure snag-free storage of the most delicate hosiery and lingerie.

Supporting Corner Blocks Four corner blocks on the bottom of the drawers provide added strength and keep the drawer square.

Sturdy Bed Posts Metal-on-metal joinery is utilized on all the bed posts, providing solid support and eliminating the potential for wobble.

Center Bed Supports We add three center supports on our Queen beds, and six center supports on our King beds, all with an adjustable leveler, to assure even support.

Double Bolted Rail System Our bed assembly involves the use of two bolts in each corner of the rails to ensure that the frames are always tightly secured at a 90 degree angle for maximum stability.

Four HandsFOUR HANDS

MISSION: "Home Furnishings that Inspire the Soul"

Product, People, and Passion are the backbone behind Four Hands. We desire to provide furniture that changes and effects people's lives in a very profound and inspirational way. Inspiring someone's soul doesn't happen by accident - it happens when each one of us work from a place of passion to deliver excellence in everything we do. Four Hands is dedicated to renewing creativity and sparking not only the evolution of design, but also the revolution of style.

PRODUCT

Four Hands was founded in 1996 by Brett Hatton, President and CEO. Setting high standards from the beginning, Hatton committed to "touching" every piece of furniture that was selected. In fact, the company's unique name "Four Hands" reflects this commitment.

As the ultimate explorers of style, we literally go to the ends of the earth in search of the optimal blend of cultural influences for our award-winning furniture collections. We have spread our wings, sparking a passion for creativity and expanding beyond our strong ethnic origins.

As you enter a Four Hands showroom, all of your senses are instantly engaged. You are greeted by exotic music, colorful flowers, fragrant candles, and rich textures. Eclectic leather upholstery is mixed with Asian case goods, Indian tables, lamps from the Philippines and much more, creating our signature Ethnic Chic™ look. We present a lifestyle and offer our customers a complete merchandising solution.

Four Hands' corporate headquarters is located in Austin, Texas where we maintain a 70,000 sq ft warehouse and a 15,000 sq ft showroom. Our permanent showrooms are located in Austin, Texas, Atlanta, Georgia and High Point North Carolina

PEOPLE

We are passionate about developing personal relationships with our customers by showing the cultures behind our award winning furniture. Innovative product introductions and superior customer service continue to stand as our top priorities, preserving our position at the forefront of the furniture industry. And while we are growing quickly, we are determined to do so in style. Four Hands continually achieves a higher standard and implements changes designed to better serve our customers.

PASSION

As we continue to expand globally, Four Hands understands the importance of giving to charitable organizations. In 2004, Four Hands partnered with UNICEF - the United Nations Children's Fund. The goals of this unique organization include, "giving children the best start in life, helping children survive and thrive, getting kids in school, and creating a protective environment, especially in emergencies." "We are proud to support this global cause to enhance the lives of children around the world," said Hatton.

Four Hands is now exploring ways to give back to the communities that have supported the company from the beginning. Four Hands is taking a step further by establishing a foundation to open schools in rural villages.

Mobel Fine FurnitureMOBILE, INC FINE FURNITURE

Mobel, a Tradition of Excellence in the Heart of Woodworking Country...Located in Ferdinand, Indiana, Mobel, Inc. has been crafting fine wood furniture since 1971...but our roots run far deeper. Woodworking enjoys a long and honored history in the area, with many families boasting three and four generations of craftsmen. Ferdinand's tradition of crafting fine wood furniture made it the ideal location for a locally owned and operated company with strong ties to the community and an equally strong sense of self-determination.

In 1971, an investors' group was formed, and Mobel began with hope, experience and determination as its principal assets. Initial market samples were crafted in Quonset huts in the rail yards while new structures, covering some 38,000 square feet, were erected to house the fledgling company. Today, Mobel occupies more than 200,000 square feet of warehouse, manufacturing, finishing and shipping space, employing some 150 people.

American Made Furniture

If you are looking for American made furniture, you have come to the right place. Located in Ferdinand, Indiana, Mobel is a true American company specializing in bedroom furniture that is not only American made, but genuinely American by design.

Quality You Can See. And Feel.

Fine wood furniture begins with exactly that...fine wood. At Mobel, we take great care to ensure that only the finest hardwoods are selected, carefully kiln-dried, and properly stored prior to fabrication. Natures' own material has proven to be the best substance from which to make fine wood furniture. The natural beauty of the grain pattern assures that no two pieces of wood are identical. Wood is warm to the touch, strong, resilient, and becomes more beautiful with age. Each piece of hardwood is hand-selected to enhance the appearance of the final product. Our craftsmen, with an average of 12 years experience and training in our processes, personally match all components to ensure that every piece of fine wood furniture meets Mobel's exacting standards.

Solid Wood. Solid Value.

Mobel uses only solid wood components to ensure the durability of every piece of fine wood furniture we produce. Tops, drawer fronts and ends are panels formed from random widths of hardwood, carefully glued to create strong, lasting beauty. Examine Mobel's case furniture carefully. Note the hardwood center and side drawer glides and drawer bottoms. Wood gluing blocks, wooden dust-proofing panels, full hardwood framed case interiors, and recessed wooden backs indicate a carefully crafted piece. The result is fine wood furniture of heirloom quality.

Craftsmanship: A Tradition of Excellence in Fine Wood Furniture

Mobel's cases provide full internal framing, with front, back and side rails under each drawer. This provides increased structural stability and longevity. The recessed wood backs not only provide additional protection for internal components and contents, but add durability as well. Each back panel is glued and nailed to ensure a solid and rigid case.

Solid Fine Wood Furniture Worthy of Being Treasured for Generations

The quality of our case goods is evident inside and out. The mitered corners of the frames incorporate mortise and tenon joint construction for solid, long-lasting joinery. And the crowning touches to these beautifully constructed bedroom suites? Details such as decorative drawer pulls that complement the cabinet design and a carefully applied, hand-rubbed, multi-step lacquer finish that enhances the warmth and richness of the wood. Repeated sanding, polishing and finishing operations ensure a deep, lustrous appearance of unmatched durability.

A Matter of Style

Mobel offers a range of time-tested fine wood furniture designs that appeal to every market segment. Graceful curves, eye-pleasing proportions, and beautiful finishes ensure that Mobel's lines convey lasting, affordable elegance. A wide selection of pieces enables you to furnish any size bedroom to your own décor and needs.
Furniture that Lasts...

Year, After Year, After Year

Mobel's time-tested and proven manufacturing techniques create pieces of uncommon durability. By taking great care in our selection of materials, in the machining and assembly process and in the application of finishes, each piece signifies an investment in lasting beauty. Add one piece at a time or furnish an entire room with your favorite fine wood furniture.

MagnussenMAGNUSSEN

Since 1931, the Magnussen family has been committed to blending the fine qualities that we value in life into the fine
furniture that we offer our customers. Integrity. Ingenuity. Style. Dedication. At Magnussen Home, we take pride in our
company and in the furniture we produce.

Ingwer Magnussen founded our company in 1931, in the town of Kitchener, Ontario. A cabinetmaker by trade and a craftsman and businessman at heart, Ingwer took the bold step of starting his own company when he was unable to find work during the Great Depression. Serving Canadian upholstery manufacturers, he created beautiful, intricately carved show wood for sofa frames, earning a reputation that allowed his young business to grow into a good-sized company. Over the years, Magnussen Home has continued to grow, expanding to become a global enterprise. Yet, we have maintained the core principles of a family-run business - trust, honesty and respect - as the foundation of our success.

Richard Magnussen, Ingwer's son, joined the company in 1970 at the age of 20. Focused on growing and expanding the family business, Richard guided Magnussen Furniture to the position of Canada's largest occasional table supplier. Building on this success, he founded Presidential Furniture, a division of Magnussen Furniture, in 1986, to serve the U.S. market. Trading as Magnussen-Presidential Furniture, the company kept a keen eye on detail and nurtured a corporate culture based on understanding its customers, as it became one of the most progressive occasional furniture suppliers in North America.

As the 20th Century came to a close, furniture manufacturers around the world began tapping into a huge growth opportunity. Among the first to take advantage of this opportunity, Magnussen-Presidential Furniture started importing from Asia in the late 1980s, a decade before this trend caught on in the broader furniture trade. The relationships, infrastructure and skills we developed during this ten-year period empowered us to provide our customers with beautifully designed, high quality, high value furnishings, delivered in lead times and at service levels that are unrivalled in the industry.

In 2002, Magnussen-Presidential Furniture became Magnussen Home. The addition of "Home" reflects who we are and what we offer as a company: fine furniture, designed for today's lifestyles and created by a family of craftsmen from around the world, to enhance the most important rooms in your home.
